Green Closed-Loop Production Chain
Terra Fuoco is dedicated to the sustainable and responsible production of Dicyandiamide (DCD). As part of this commitment, Terra Fuoco has taken the following approaches. Terra Fuoco has established strong partnerships to produce Dicyandiamide (DCD) using sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices. Guided by green chemistry principles, we have implemented a production process that generates zero direct carbon emissions.
In our innovative production chain, there is no direct emission of CO2. We recycle CO from other petrochemical companies (exogenous CO). This process allows us to utilize CO as an energy source, as liquid CO2 is used in the production chain. In addition to the exogenous CO we recycle from other emittances, the CO in the smelting process is used as fuel for the calcination of limestone. The CO2 from the last procedure is recycled for the production of Cyanamid; The reintegration of industrial waste (calcium carbonate) is subsequently integrated into the production chain, resulting in the absorption of approximately 1.89 MT of CO2 per 1 MT DCD produced.
Through this innovative production method, waste is reduced and the carbon footprint of the DCD production process is minimized. Terra Fuoco guarantees sustainable DCD production.

Terra Fuoco has taken the initiative to power the production process with renewable energy sources. Terra Fuoco’s partner facility is powered by a composition of 30% coal and 70% green energy, such as wind and solar power. By utilizing these renewable energy sources, Terra Fuoco can further offset the carbon footprint to mitigate the impact of DCD production on climate change. Terro Fuoco continually invests in renewable energy sources and is committed to upgrading partner facilities to ensure long-term energy security. The 100% storage capacity of the green electricity project is expected to be fully implemented by the end of 2026.
