Dycure TMPTA

Dycure TMPTA is an acrylic acid ester that is utilized as a reactive diluent in energy curable coatings (e.g., electron beam, ultraviolet), inks and overprint varnishes. It comprises three polymerizable acrylate groups per molecule, which allows it to form copolymers with, for instance, acrylic, amides, esters, vinyl acetate, and styrene.

Main characteristics: high adhesion, excellent film hardness, faster cure

Experiments reveal Dycure TMPTA improves reactivity, hardness, gloss and chemical resistance, water resistance as well as high abrasion resistance. However, the final features of, for example, ultraviolet/electron beam cured products also depend on the selection of other formulation elements, such as additives and photoinitiators. As a result, Dycure TMPTA becomes a favorite for coatings (i.e., floor, glass, metal, optical, wood), rubber crosslinking, adhesives and electronics (i.e., photopolymers, photoresists, Ion exchange resins and paints).
